Day 1: Amboseli National Park
Breakfast will be served at the city hotel followed by a safari briefing on the adventures ahead. After the briefing, your safari adventure will begin as you depart by air from Jomo Kenyatta International airport to Amboseli National Park is situated at the foot of the majestic snowcapped Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain on the continent of Africa. The park has large herds of wildebeest, zebra, elephant, giraffe, lion and a variety of other animals and birds which are attracted to this park due to its permanent supply of water from Mt. Kilimanjaro’s melting snow. The elephant population in Amboseli is one of the few that has been able to live undisturbed. Arrive at the camp or lodge in time for lunch, followed by some leisure hours for a siesta or swim before you depart for an afternoon game viewing drive, and return back to the camp or lodge before sunset. Dinner and overnight at the Oltukai lodge or Amboseli Serena lodge.
Day 2: Amboseli National Park
Early morning game viewing, either before or after breakfast, will be the perfect time to catch a glimpse and photograph the snow-capped peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The park is also home to the Maasai people who live in close harmony with the environment and the animals that surround them. Their diet is a simple one, consisting mainly of meat, and the blood of the cattle mixed with milk. The blood is drawn by firing a collared arrow into the beast’s jugular vein. After the morning game drive, return to the camp or lodge for breakfast and lunch, followed by a leisure time to read a book, relax by the pool or rest until it is time to depart for your afternoon game viewing drive in search of the huge herds of elephants. Dinner and overnight at the Oltukai lodge or Amboseli Serena lodge.
Day 3: Mount Kenya National Park
After breakfast at the camp or lodge, you will depart by road via Nairobi, driving past vast pineapple plantations and the local community farmlands to Mount Kenya National Park. The park, which is one of the most unique environments in the world with its rugged glacier summits, moorlands and diverse forests, is home to Mt. Kenya, an extinct volcano and the second highest mountain in Africa. The mountain has two main peaks and is excellent for mountain climbing. Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch, followed by afternoon watching wildlife around the watering hole near the lodge, or choose from several optional activities such as nature walks, hiking, and bird walks. Dinner and overnight at the camp The Tree Tops lodge or The Ark Lodge.
Day 4: Sweetwater’s Game Reserve
After breakfast at the lodge, you will depart by road to Sweetwater’s Game Reserve, situated between the foothills of the Aberdares and the magnificent snow capped Mount Kenya. Sweetwater’s Game Reserve is one of only a few private game reserves in Kenya and provides visitors with a unique combination of facilities and activities. This 24,500 acre reserve that is situated within the 93,000 acres of the Ol Pejeta Conservancy has an abundance of wildlife and tropical vegetation. Visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only one of its kind in Kenya. The sanctuary is home to orphaned chimpanzees. A walk around the sanctuary will give you an opportunity to spot the orphaned chimps. The conservancy also contains the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, and they are usually spotted easily. Arrive at the camp or lodge in time for lunch followed by some leisure hours for a siesta or swim. Later in the afternoon you will proceed on an afternoon game viewing drive across the vast savannah grasslands, a terrain favored by elephants. Return to the camp or lodge before sunset. Dinner and overnight at Serena Sweetwaters camp/Similar.
Day 5: Masai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast at the camp or lodge, you will be transferred to Nanyuki Airstrip for a morning scheduled flight across the Great Rift Valley to the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. Upon arrival at the Masai Mara airstrip you will be transferred to your camp or lodge with a game drive en route for lunch. The Masai Mara is characterized by its vast acacia-dotted plains and lakes, and its spectacular escarpments where the movie “Out of Africa” was filmed. The animals of the Masai Mara are the real venomous of the wildlife, providing nature of it’s kind and reality against a backdrop of spectacular scenery. Arrive at the camp or lodge in time for lunch, followed by some leisure hours for rest or before you begin an afternoon game viewing drive, and return back to the camp or lodge before sunset. Dinner and overnight at Royal Mara lodge/Entim camp.
Day 6: Masai Mara Game Reserve
Whole day in the Masai Mara Game Reserve will be spent in search of the famous big cats of the Masai Mara and the spectacular wildebeest migration,black rhinos and many more wildlife,or a herd of elephants protecting their young from predators. The Mara has one of the richest wildlife ensembles, as well as being the backdrop for the spectacular world-famous annual wildebeest migration.Dinner and overnight at Royal Mara lodge or Entim Camp.
Day 7: Nairobi
Last day in the Masai Mara Game Reserve, breakfast will be served at the camp or lodge, after which you will have another game drive till lunch hour then transferred to the Masai Mara Airstrip for afternoon scheduled flight to Nairobi, transferred to Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your international departure flight or spent another night in Nairobi on your own.
